Bump Clause Strategy
Bump Clause Strategy is a provision in a real estate purchase agreement that allows the seller to continue marketing the property after accepting an offer. If a better offer is received, the original buyer is given a limited time—usually 24 to 72 hours—to match or improve their terms. If the buyer fails to respond, the seller may “bump” them and proceed with the new offer.
