There is currently a captivating Home for Sale in Weston, one of the most sought-after suburbs of Boston, where the real estate market remains vibrant.

The Massachusetts home of Boston Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca complete with indoor and outdoor basketball courts is returning to the market for $8.999 million.

The estate, previously listed for $10.4 million on Zillow last year, is located in Weston, Mass., approximately 15 miles outside Boston.

Pagliuca, a former co-chairman of Bain Capital, and his wife, Judy Pagliuca, purchased the property for $875,000 in 1995, according to records. They demolished an existing older home on the site and completed the construction of their new house around 2003.

The stucco house sits on nearly 4 acres, as confirmed by listing agent George Sarkis of Douglas Elliman.

“The Massachusetts home of Boston Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca is back on the market for $8.999 million, featuring both indoor and outdoor basketball courts,” reveals listing agent George Sarkis of Douglas Elliman.

Sarkis explained that the Pagliucas are downsizing now that their children have grown. Although he did not handle the listing last year when the home was priced at $10.4 million, Sarkis believes the current asking price of $8.999 million accurately reflects the property’s value.

Steve Pagliuca, who joined Bain Capital in 1989 according to the company’s website, served as co-chairman from 2016 until earlier this year. In addition to his business ventures, Pagliuca, a former Duke University basketball player, garners recognition for regularly attending Celtics games and occupying a front-row seat. In 2022, he took the lead in an investor group’s acquisition of a majority stake in Italian soccer club Atalanta, where he currently holds the positions of co-owner and co-chairman, as confirmed by the club.

Weston holds a prominent reputation as one of the most desirable suburbs of Boston, and the real estate market in the area has maintained its strength. Sarkis reported that in May, the average sale price for a single-family home in Weston was $2.99 million, reflecting an 8.8% increase compared to the previous year.
